About Owens
On April 1, 1952 Don Owens established Owens Insurance Agency in Greer SC. Most people thought he was insane, as there are already 2 set up insurance agencies in Greer selling residential & car insurance for the Upstate of South Carolina. But Don seemed to be undeterred.

First in insurance claims with Penn National, subsequently with Selective Insurance where he became an officer of the organization running operations including claims, marketing, new business underwriting in Selective' s 9 Midwestern states.
Chris, was a college soccer trainer & started doing work in the building construction field in 1996 moved from residential development to professional & industrial construction in The year 2003. The brother-in-law's joined powers in 2009 & carried on the family organization of Owens Insurance Agency.
